November 17. Governor John Carney visited Sandhill Fields in Georgetown, DE. The Governor learned about the new Indoor Fieldhouse project, as well as what the complex means to the county and local community.  

Sandhill Fields General Manager, Brad Leinbach, greeted the Governor and elaborated on the economic and social impact the facility has had since its opening in September of 2020.  Stacey Short, who is leading the Indoor Fieldhouse project briefed the Governor on the details of the upcoming project. The project is estimated to cost $6.5 million and Sandhill Fields is hoping to have support from the Governors office.
